Update:



I managed to put together my own new database, in SCID format, and I managed to get my hands on older long gone big databases eg. the latest ICOFy Base. All of these databases are quite high quality, unlike AepliBase. Also, these are under MEGA so you can be sure of no drive virus.

GorgoBase - A big SCID database containing over 2 million games with TWIC archives and PGN Mentor archives.

ICOFyBase - a big database made up of 7 files altogether containing about 4 million games. Mostly master games. PGN!

TWIC - Another big database (About 1 million games) containing TWIC archives. All in one SCID database!

GMallbase - About 400 000 grandmaster games in one PGN file.

Finally, my premium and high-quality database, BenBase! It contains about 3.5 million master games in one SCID database! The file isn't even that big!

By the way, AepliBase is over since the file is way too big, so that's over.  I hope you enjoy my new database, and I promise this one will have updates every season, next in July.

    hi , i was looking for Icofy database and i finally found your blog. Thank you for these links because it's hard to find these database. So i was looking for gorgobase too and i found them with your links . for info gorgobase= TWIC until 1097 . Unfortunately i don't know why but there's still an error for IB107PGN.zip, the download never start . But thanks to you, i know that this file name IB107PGN so i have found it on sourceforge. the site of icofy is down but the file is still on sourceforge ^^ So i guess there's maybe not all the MAJ ( i know Icofy made lot of update like TWIC) but it's a good deal to add on my HD ^^

Hello. This is the start of AepliBase, and my name is Ben Aepli. I just created a new database I call AepliBase, made by me . This is the link for mac.  This is the link for Windows. (Thanks to Rsava for compressing the database for Windows since I use a mac.) 6.9 Million Games in PGN format! This may take sometime to download, but then just unzip the file, and it will have the PGN in it. This is like a ChessBase in PGN, but not made from ChessBase, and completely free. (Compared to 160 Euros. I use ChessDB and ScidVsPC to support my database, and it is great!  Have a try. I will be updating this every season, and this is the first. (Early 2017). Thank you!
